The Xtrack Philosophy
A lot is demanded of clipless MTB pedals, and for good reason. A good clipless MTB pedal must perform in an extreme range of weather conditions and a wide range of terrains and technical levels - it's simply not enough to make a pedal that excels in one specific condition.
LOOK's solution to a clipless MTB pedal is the Xtrack series. Designed to be as versatile as possible, while promoting high contact surface, low weight and easy entry/release to bring you the perfect pedal.
The Best Power-to-Weight Ratio
Generally speaking, the greater the contact surface, the more efficiently energy is transferred. On the other hand, the greater the contact surface, the more the pedal will weigh. The LOOK engineers therefore, identified the zones that are useful for energy transmission and then optimised the pedal design in order to limit any that are unused. This task allowed LOOK to engineer an MTB pedal with the best weight/contact surface ratio on the market.
Lateral contact support guides your foot in finding your pedal and provides you a point of contact even if you have not yet engaged the cleat. This wide contact area prevents your foot from sliding on the pedal body and offers consistent and reassuring support.
Performs in Any Conditions
The Xtrack mechanism has been carefully designed to work in any and all conditions, with added space to allow your pedals to shed any unwelcome dirt, mud or sand. This gives you a constant and stable lock into your pedals regardless of the terrain and weather you're riding in. The double-sealed axles ensure the longevity of your pedals and maintain the fluidity of your pedalstroke, even when pushing them to their limits ride after ride.
An adjustable tension screw allows you to fine-tune the entry and release resistance to match your personal skill level.
